I shopped around to find the best possible juicer for my own use, and ended up on this one. Why buy the more expensive slow squeeze masticating juicer over the centrifugal juicers that are less expensive and available just about anywhere? A centrifugal juicer is the most common, and inexpensive juicer on the market. Typically ranging from $50 to $200 and found in big department stores. This type of juicer uses a shredder to shred the product, then uses gravity, and extremely high speeds to force it through a mesh screen removing the juice. Buying this type of juicer is an absolute waste of money. The process by which it removes the juice exposes it to extremely high levels of heat and oxygen and destroys most of the nutrients. Another downfall is the fact you have to drink it immediately after or it will lose all nutrients, as compared to the slow juicer which will hold its complete nutritional value for 24 hours after juicing.
Most people have trouble pulling the trigger to buy a slow masticating juicer because in most cases, they are over $500. luckily Dash came through for us on this one. The juicer retails for $279 on their website (http://www.bydash.com/) but you can click the above link and get it from Amazon for $199.
